Am looking for a set of four (fancy that!) 17" or 18" five stud alloys, preferably with tyres, for a BMW 3 Series Compact. Can anyone recommend anywhere decent online?

There have been a few second hand ones on ebay, but not exactly bargains...
Looked in Halfords but they don't have any many five studs, only four.

Nothing too bling bling. Something like these...

I'm most awfully sorry Lex. All these years that we've been friends and I wasn't aware that you were burdened with such a guilty secret. Now that you've "come out" I just hope that it will lighten your heart and the pain won't be so difficult to bear.

I know what will have been worrying you but don't as I'm not a snob and we can continue to be friends no matter what but I am deeply hurt that you didn't feel that you could trust me with your secret though.

Out of interest, have you put alloy wheels on your Nova Ian? :D

I don't know about online alloy wheels I'm afraid, wouldn't a BMW dealer be able to help? :)

http://www.rimstock.co.uk/rimstockframeset.htm some lovely wheels on here as well as a fitment quide for you to choose the exact spec. to fit your car and a list of stocking distributors who will, no doubt, offer you a very nice wheel and tyre package...

It might also be worth checking how heavy the wheels are. Significantly heavier wheels can ruin the ride quality

recently replaced the wheels on wife's german motor (not a beemer).
original wheels were very hard to find - turned out there seven left in the country..this scarcity caused me to look further afield. the USA overhung with all kinds of alloy wheels, much cheaper than UK prices. and this was a couple of months ago before the dollar pound relationship got so favourable. worth looking at a few USA sites and getting the wheels stuck on a container maybe...
