Moved back out to Japan recently and just bought a PC for internet etc. Athlon 64 3500 with 1GB RAM. Didn't get a graphics card with it as it has graphics built in and have consoles for gaming.

However, the LCD has a DVi input which can only be used with a graphics card. I'm wondering will the display be significantly better through a DVi cable? I'm not overly impressed with LCD compared to CRT through a VGA cable, so would DVi it be worth it? I've fiddled with the settings on my 19" LG monitor, but there's always some kind of blurring of text somewhere on the screen and photo colours not as good as on my previous CRT. May possibly play some FPSes on it but the numerous setting are just annoying. So, what would be the best PCI graphics card for around the 50 quid mark?
