Best Option for Solo Music - rDock or rDac and Sonos ZP90

Standard Member
I need advice with a dilema please!
I have a Solo Music, vertically bi-amped to a P38 and P85 into Totem Hawks. Also an rDock. I have now bought an rDAC only to realise I have no way to arrange a pre-amp out from the Solo to control the volume - rather slow of me I know! My choice of way forward is therefore :
a) Get a Touch and live with the poor remote control facility from the Solo remote.
b) Get a ZP90, and a NAS, and a CR200, so I can make use of the rDAC.
Option 2 is clearly the more expensive, but will give me much more convenient remote control and a base for future expansion should I need it.
But, assuming I'll be re-ripping my collection to FLAC or similar, which would provide the better audio quality?
As an aside, I did have a comment from one of your goodselves that, as the ZP90 has a volume control (although I've read that it's best set at full), there might be an option to use that into my bi-amped setup, to resolve my lack of preamp.
Hope this makes sense - and you can see the level of my confusion!)
All comments appreciated - thanks.
