Best of Both Worlds (Star Trek) on DVD?

Hi,

Can any one tell me if this particualr feature length episode of Star Trek is available on DVD? I have the video but would like to upgrade, also if any trekkies can tell me if this episode is related to others?

I like the old Star Trek and so dont really want to buy a whole series for one episode. I like this one cos it showed the Borg as the Borg should be, unlike in First Contact.

I agree, Best of both Worlds was the best of the Next Generation series.

It is available on DVD as part of a Next Generation Movie episodes boxset. This contains all the feature length and season finale episodes.
You can find it for £60 over at Play.com

This was the first Borg episode and it is refered to and referenced again and again in later episodes. Even in First Contact there is the reference to Picard once being 'part of the collective'.

Also there is a Jean Luc Pickard box set i've seen at Blockbuster online, but it does bot say what is on it

Actually this isn't true - the first 'Borg' episode was in the second season where 'Q' flung the Enterprise across the Galaxy to introduce them to the Borg (That Q was such a nice helpful chap ). I think the episode was called Q – Who

Very much doubt they will ever release them individually but they might create a set later on which has all the Borg episodes on 2 or 3 discs.

Also, the episodes in the Jean Luc Picard DVD Set are:

Darmok
The Inner Light

I think a Borg-only set would be far too big now, what with Voyager having a them in every other episode near the end.

I did mean a Borg DVD Set from The Next Generation only like the VHS set that was released a few years back which contained 4 tapes in a Borg Cube foldout box.

Do you (or anyone else) think its worth buying the STTNG movies box set, are the features movies any good? Im really after Best of Both Worlds so am reluctant to buy a whole movie set.

However, if they are good anyone know where I can pick ith up cheap?

Well its cheaper than buying all 7 Seasons but I only bought Season 3-7
