Aye, the Jaws one is a classic:smashin: Best film ever as well:clap:

The Descent, crash at the beginning. Also when one of the women is standing by the window at night:eek: My head nearly hit the roof:rotfl:

Alien. When Dallas is in the tunnel and turns to meet the Alien. Classic scene with tense music that still scares me now:rolleyes: :rotfl:

I reckon the Sixth Sense when he goes into the little girls bedroom and her hand pushes the video case from under the bed:eek:

The original Omen film is also quite intimidating with Damien.

I also like the Others with Nicole Kidman there some nice scare factor moments in that.

    Can't quite remember lol.

Think she's standing in front of the window, (half asleep/sleep walking etc etc) and something shoots through it towards her (she's actually dreaming it i think).

You should watch it. Cracking film.

I'll get it when it arrives on HD-DVD.

The women was in a car crash right at the beginning of the film and her husband and little girl were both killed when some metal poles flew off the back of a truck smashing the windscreen ...... some months later she is stood by a window in a log cabin at night, looking out into the dark and a metal pole comes crashing through the window (she's dreaming) - must admit, I jumped pretty high for that one too!

The Grudge / The Ring were both pretty creepy when the long dark haired girl is mooching about and the Sixth Sense when he's in the tent and that girl appears being sick .... HEEELLLPPP!!

Titanic is awesome. "I'll never let go. I'll never let go, Jack"

The Omen was quite scary for me... though I've not seen it since I was 7 :p

Totaly agree with that, both scenes made me jump higher than a kangaroo on a space hopper in a bouncy castle:eek:

Final Destination 2 , the guy narrowly escaping his burning flat and slippling on his spaghetti, if you've seen it you know the rest.
One of the best cinema viewing experiences i've had as the whole cinema was as one with every jump and out loud argh! and eugh! and even applause after some deaths

Although not necesarily a jumpy moment while watching the film itself, after every viewing of Arachnophobia the scene where one of the little spiders is hiding under the toilet seat and someone obviously has to take a seat for the most life threatening number 2 of their life little to their realisation, although nothing comes of it its still enough to make me uber paranoid about having a number 2 for a fair few days later with the end result being me jumping off my seat as soon as i possibly can, a bit of a delay but the seat jumping result is still the same.

I jumped off my seat and I knew it was coming ....

My mate jumped out of his seat at the scene in Deep Blue Sea when Samuel L Jackson is giving his speach and the shark pops up, had some fun teasing him about it for a while afterwards. :)

This is the one I always think of, the audience is sat there unconsciously thinking Samual ain't gonna die anytime soon he's the big star then BANG the shark gets him!, the whole cinema raised about a foot in the air at the same time like a huge square mexican wave when I saw it.

That was pretty much the only time I've ever really jumped at the cinema.

I dont usually jump in horrors/thrillers, but, think my worst was hide and seek with robert de nero. The part where someones sitting out side in car and someone comes up and tapped on the window, that made me jump lol

a proper moment for me was during signs when they are showing the birthday party footage and and the alien walks across the screen. also later on in the basement when the lad picks up the torch and shines it on his sister and the arm is coming through the grating.

for some reason that film really freaked me out.

Those parts were done very well it's as if the director knew exactly how much needed to be shown at that point and how to film it, very clever.

Some good frighteners in the old classic Strawdogs.
I happen to like Titanic but "The Others" now that is total pants I must con someone into taking my copy off my hands sometime.
Come to think of it I reckon most films with Nicole Kidman in are pretty dire.

Two bits in 28 Days Later always get me...the first when Jim is walking through London and he sets the car alarm off, and the other, when they are at Jims parents and the infected fella comes through the window.

Sorry, but "The Woman In Black" rules all.

That film consistently gives me the fear, and has done every time I've watched it. Not only is it unbelievably creepy, it's got a few jump out of the seat moments as well!

Christ, I'm going cold just discussing it!
