    Hi Nimby,

    Brilliant choice!!!!

Knowing left a big impression on me when I first watched this on regular DVD, with the Blu-Ray still to watch when I eventually take delivery of my first player in late January unless I have funds to purchase a PS3 slim between now and then....the plain crash was a shock....WOW!!

    Nice one :smashin:

    Hi

Indeed it was! Terrifying! But we aren't supposed to tell anybody in case they haven't seen it yet. ;)

I watched a hired DVD using my LX70a player and DTS. "Knowing" has only just been released for hire over here. Despite the sci-fi promise, amazing special effects and Cage starring, I have rather mixed feelings about the film itself. Don't let me put you off though. :)

Where is here? If you don't mind me asking.

Don't let me put you off though.
Answer; That's fine as and am aware of what you mean very inaccurate ending.......but the producer / director tried their best I guess.

    Thank you for your views....appreciated.

I am looking forward to the New ''STAR TREK'' & ''TRANSFORMERS 2''

    Thanks again

    Hi namuk,

I must admit that the steel boxes are very exclusive, great collectors items and shall look forward to ordering this when I have available funds.

First I have to complete a purchase by mid November, then I shall purchase the 2 movies that have been mentioned.

    Happy viewing......how life with yourself?

    Regards

Transformers 2 will have to be as clever and funny as the first one to do well. If they take themselves too seriously and spends lots more money on special effects and "star names" they will end up with something rather like "Knowing". i.e. The triumph of special effects and an expensive "face" over simple, basic common sense. Just like they did with "The Day The Earth Stood Still." Another formula film which could have been great. The trouble is you can't go back and fix it once its been broken by the first bunch of moronic timewasters. It ends up as a cheap DVD within months of cinema release and we a miss a potentially huge classic behind a great story. Do these people actually get paid? Or do they just pick directors and writers off the street completely at random? Their efforts have so many obvious holes they should be mending nets! Not making films! :suicide:

I watched Transformers 2 on the first day of release, and the first showing which was 12midday approx.

The funny thing about all of this, is that I had been awake from 17:30 the day before, went to work the night shift finished the next morning at around 06:30, stayed to have breakfast until around 08:50, then drove to town to renew my car insurrance, had a hair cut, and then randomly out of the blue thought why not see Transformers 2.....so I did:suicide::suicide:

I loved it.....it was fantastic!!!! the story line was fine and the affects were....AWSOME!!!! THE FILM HAD ME LAUGHING AND SHAKING MY HEAD IN DISBELIEF:eek::eek::D:rotfl:

I left the Cinema with a great sense ''OF THE FEEL GOOOOOD FACTOR''

I loved this movie for what it is......a great popcorn movie.....and this will be a great test disc for home theatres.......

The DAY THE EARTH STOOD STILL YEH!!!!.....WHAT A LET DOWN INDEED!!....I WAS TRULY DISAPOINTED WITH IT, as this ''as you say'' could have been a great movie.....they never spent enought time in making this (i think.)

Good to read you views....valid indeed!

P.S. THE BASS IN TRANS 2 IS DEEPER....AND QUITE FRIGHTENING WOW!!

I though the 0ppo 831 had already been released, as they have just carried out a full review in ''Home Cinema Choice'' magazine....and if i'm not mistaken they gave this a best buy status....

Good to hear from you sir'

I too enjoyed the film. I watched the "digital version" if that makes any difference, and I thought that the sound was staggeringly good, to be fair.
