if you have these in your collection:

    Saving Private Ryan (dts)
Lord Of The Rings (any of the 3)
The Matrix (again any of the 3)

they were my favourites to test, but you never know what audio gems you have on DVD lying around the place.

P.S test your favourite movie 1st!
    ENJOY:D

Master & Commander is very good, too; in addition to those mentioned by NI-AVGUY.

When the 'alarm' is initially called in one of the earlier scenes (sorry, don't have the chapter number to hand), and there are footsteps above, cannons/cannon balls flyng everywhere, shards, water, waves, etc...

Especially as there is a 'calm before the storm' section just before it!

    War of The Worlds
    Casino Royale
    The Butterfly Effect
    Finding Nemo
Any of the Star Wars movies

    All good!

Also have a look in the subwoofer forum, lots of recommendations in there to give your sub a good workout!

U-571 (DTS track on region 1)
    The Matrix (Lobby scene)
    Saving private ryan (DTS)

I think my favourite is u-571, it has the the subtle effects of water dripping plus the loud, loud, loud explosions of the depth charges. Nothing short of stunning.

Don't laugh - but Finding Nemo.

there is a part near the end where the Dentists little girl/niece bangs on the fish tank and you get the effect that the fish would hear - huge banging noise - on my system that sounded great.

There is a bit in the Incredibles which is terrific. Around chapter 23 if memory serves me well. The bit where the kids are being chased through the forest.

closing as there is already a list of suitable movies for giving your system a thrashing, one is in the Movie section of the forums, check the sticky, also there should be one in the Subwoofer section of the forums.
