No, but I've heard both MA speakers and Onkyo amps and neither suit one another. The Yamaha will sound better in my opinion ;)

If it was my money, I would go for Yamaha but that's because I'm a fan of their gear. I have heard of people partnering Onkyo 875/876/905/906 with MA Silver and they say it's fantastic. In the end, use your own ears as we all have our opinions and favourites..... :D

After a demo of the two units yesterday it's Onkyo for me ...the yamaha and MAs really do produce a very bright and clinical sound ... not to my tastes ...

Interesting, Ive always known Yamaha's to produce more of a warm sound. With the MA being brighter than most I'd have thought they'd be the perfect match?

What type of sound did the onkyo/MA produce if you dont mind me asking?

As already noted, most people find the exact opposite to what you've experienced.
