Best LCDTV for Laptop and PS3 connected through an HDMI?

Hello All,

I really hope you can help me to find the right LCD TV for my Laptop.

I want to connect my Laptop via HDMI.
My HP laptop has got a Nvidia PurevideoHD graphic card and HDMI output. It was basically made for LCD TVs. It detects the TV and sets the resolution to the maximum of the display, up to 1080p.

I’m after a bad experience with a Samsung Series 6 purchased almost a year ago from Costco.
When I plug-in any device trough the HDMI the quality is so bad that I would rather buy an old CRT TV for 50 pounds! Tested PS3, laptops, different cables, etc.
Luckily Costco, even after a year of purchase has kindly accepted the return of the TV. In facts, the TV is advertised to be brilliant with PS3, Laptops etc while it is very poor (not so say crap) with anything connected.

Now I want to be sure I’m going to buy the right one if not the best one for a perfect display of anything: PS3, Laptop, DVD and BR-DVD players, etc.

I was recommended Pioneer and Sony and to stay away from Samsung.

Anyone who has tested HDMI with Laptops and PS3 and can give me an experienced advice?
