just looking for the best lcd between £800-£900, im after bthe best picture quality, i picked up a goodmans 26" from tescos for £399 and the picture quality was truly poor so i took it back the next day want something with much better quality

The answer depends on what you want it for, but based on the one you returned, I'm guessing being HD ready is not essential. I whole heartedly recommend the Sharp LC32P50E. It's a 32" LCD optimised for normal TV viewing and it's got an HDMI connector at the back, so even though it does not meet the 'HD ready' logo requirements, it will accept HD via it's HDMI input and on a test display, I couldn't tell the difference with other HD ready sets.

Richer Sounds are doing them for £699.95 on this link. I can't think of a better LCD at that price.

ps.. The 26" version is £500 from same site
