Daipac,

Just looking at your line up of av gear, would you not recommend the Samsung LE32r87bdx that you own? This can be had for under £500 now if you shop around.

I ask because it is on my shortlist and my requirements are pretty similar to those you stated. I would appreciate any feedback you can give me.

Cheers.:smashin:

To be honest, I only use my Samsung for use in my games room with my Xbox 360. For gaming, the Samsung is fantastic ! I also managed to get mine for around £350 which helped ! :)

BUT, my friend also has the Samsung and it is not great for SD television via Sky which would put me off buying one if it was for anything else apart from gaming. The Samsung just doesn't compare to my Pio or Panny for SD television but then I would expect that.

Just IMHO.

I would really appreciate some more help with my original question if anybody has any opinions on this subject. Thanks.

If you can stretch your budget by £99 i would go for this, i have just bought one myself from Richer Sounds at £599.99 and if you buy before the end of november you get a panasonic 5 year warranty for free which is great piece of mind at a great price. Just do a search for reviews on this tv and it tops most lists as the best LCD in that bracket.

spec from the official panasonic site.

I've got £500 (once my account gets credited from returning my Hannspree to Ebuyer!)

I have been looking at the 32" Samsungs, but having just seen Richer sounds deal http://www.richersounds.com/showproduct.php?cda=showproduct&pid=PANA-TX32LMD70 I'm definately tempted!

What's the Freeview reception like through these, I'm in a low signal area so would need a FV box that can boost the signal a bit!

Any more advise on this set gratefully received.

Cheers
