How about the new Sharp LC32PE50, which can be had for less than £1K.

All lcd's have problems with this, but it really depends on the signal you get, if it's bad, especially the field will be totally blurred when the camera pans, players and the ball will get a trail behind them.

That said, i would advise the jvc, just watch the start of the season here in the netherlands, it's perfect with average to good broadcasting!

You either have DNC turned on or are viewing the wrong type of LCD screen. I wouldn't say that all LCD suffer from this, some are obviously better than others.

I have a 32" LCD from Aldi and footy is tops on it, the only thing i would say is if it's a poor signal being received the game can sometimes look a little off.

    Thanks everyone.
Although I'm still not sure which to go for?

Deano70 thanks for the reply but I took my Tevion back to Aldi two days later as although it handled dvds well the football through Sky looked awful.

My Loewe Xelos 32 is excellent on Footie (with a good signal of course).

Sky & BBC Channels is excellent, ITV pretty good, ITV2 OK, but not great.

So basically with a good original source this TV is as good as my old CRT...Im very impressed.
Just as another advantage this TV has superb sound....
