Sorry for asking this tiresome question, but reading through this forum, most posts concerned PQ with DVD.

I have no idea which LCD set has the best PQ when watching through Sky+. I have seen a few setups in retailers showing digital sat tv (not sure if it was sky+) and the PQ was, to say the least, truly awful.

I changed channels, and some were better than others, but still the amount of "blockiness" was unacceptable. I know this is largely due to high-compression....

I want a 37" for my living room and a 28" in my bedroom (both 16:9).

Has anyone here found a set that has good PQ for Sky+ ?
I dont want a plasma. There must be one decent LCD out there..help!

    Many Thanks.

Same with the ubiquitous Philips 32" PF9986. I am ,for my sins, watching Emmerdale right now and it produces a picture that you wouldn't recognise compared to the drivel they insist on displaying on shop sets. Absolutely astonishing.

I'll post a photo of this if I can.

Why have you decided against Plasma?

    Here goes.

PQ will be effected by hellish moire patterns and blurring. The one with the Red Car and the one with Charity Dingle is from a frozen picture and shows some moire. The other, in the Woolpack, is not frozen and showsno moire but is blurry due to the half second exposure time!

File size limitations here will probably render this a waste of time..

Yup, just tried it and the pictures look awful. If anyone wants to see these pictures I'll have to send them via Email. Contact me privately.

I have to say that Battlestar Galactica streamed off SKY+ via RGB scart into a Philips 32PF9986 is STUNNING, even analogue terrestrial looks rich and colourful.
I've only had the TV for two days and it was worth every penny:)
