Best LCD 17" & up for under £600 ?

    Any recommendations ? I would need to connect both a PS2 & a video sender which requires a scart socket.

    The Toshiba 17WL46B from their new range looks pretty good. It is a widescreen model and has SCART, S-Video and PC connections for around £500. There is also a version with a digital tuner I believe.

    Comet are doing the Akai 17 inch LM-17CLSA for £399.99. It has inputs for "S", PC, RGB scart, composite, and has quite a reasonable (if a little soft) picture. It will take a wall mount as well as the supplied stand. No digital tuner tho.
    Contrast ratio: 400:1
    1280 X 768 WXGA
    It also has video out, a headphone socket and PIP when using the PC input.
    Nice for a kitchen TV or bedroom. Sound is quite good also, for a set of this size.

    The Akai is widescreen btw.

    Thanks for that, done a search & found it for £430 from RGB, but I can't seem to find any reviews ? Do you know of any.

    Sorry I should have said looks good in my bedroom. I got it for a good price and works well with a feed from my Sky+ box with a TV eye into the co-ax input. :thumbsup:

    I also tried the S-Video input with a DVD player and agin, fine results. Haven't tried it with a PC or analogue TV though.

    I have a Relisys RLT1720. It's a bargain at the price - £400 or so. It does not have Scart, however - but does have component. This screen has a 16ms response time, whereas most screens in this price bracket are 25ms....

    Agreed - very happy with my 1720. But the lack of scart may be a problem unless you get a converter.

    Richer Sounds are now doing this for £372.95.
