Best Laptop for around £250

Yeh I know its a crap budget, but its for my youngest lad for his birthday and he does really need one now.

It dosen't need to be anything special for what he wants, playing facebook games and spore which his old medion 1.3ghz celeron does fine.

Ive found this on ebuyer :
Lenovo IdeaPad G550 Laptop - Laptops | Ebuyer.com

Can I get anything better for the cash ?

I see theres an acer on the same site higher spec for £289 on sale, but I don't think Acer are that good as all the acers we have had are broken in one way or another.

Is this brand linked above any good ?

Is there a deal I'm missing somewhere ?

:lease:

Thanks matey, and welcome to AVForums !!!
Its out of my price range too, but this Asus quoted below looks good !

£250 is very doable here are two options:

ASUS K50IJ-SX539V

OPEN BOX - Lenovo G550 NTDJHUK(C)

I'm leaning towards the Asus here as the spec is slightly better with it having wirless N and a larger HDD.

What I need to know now is how good is Lenovo as I have never heard the brand before.
