What's the best place to put my NAS, directly off my ISP's router or off a switch?

Think it's only 100Mbps and don't want to have to buy £99 for home hub 3. Would it not be easier to get Gig switch and hook all internal devices off that ?

Yup just checked.
V2- 4 x 10/100 Mbit/s Ethernet sockets (RJ45)
1x USB (can enable however device like ext hdd must have own PSU)
1x Broadband In (RJ11)
1x telephone socket
V3- 3 x 10/100 Mbit/s Ethernet sockets (RJ45)
1 x 10/100/1000 Mbit/s Ethernet socket (RJ45)
1x USB (Now is enabled for use)
1x Broadband In (RJ11)
1x BT Infinity In

Did you say you just bought 3 to act as hubs or bought other types nice so just located each where?

putting one each at every TV as now have 2 internet SMART / DLNA TVs and xboxs to stream from my NAS.

but every cable has to be CAT 6 to keep the 1 Gig connection !

Fine, then as you other respondents have said, I'd get a 10/100/1000 switch instead of a new router. It'll be much cheaper and far less hassle (basic switches don't need any configuring, just plug 'em and let 'em rip.)

Unless you don't want a two box solution of course.

Is that really correct ? As cat5e can reach gig dizzy heights can't it ?

Yes agreed perhaps some of my earlier posts may not have been clear ;)
Yep gig 4 port hubs at client end point is good.

I was wondering if on your setup you intend on using most if not all your ports ?

Yip :)

Yes it can

I just got CAT 6 as its now cheap !!

So on a £ for £ basis when you say cheap is Cat 6 (albeit I am told there are other things you need to consider like terminations etc) much more than Cat 5e nowadays?
