    Hi,

I have a Denon DVD-2910 that is connected to the component input on my 42" Viera screen. Is this the best input or will picture be improved using the RGB/Scart input? I'm currently using progressiva scan in the dvd player.

No....Using RGB would be a step back imo. And a fairly big one at that if you're using progressive scan at the moment.

I have a Panny e55 dvdr and viera. My best pq from dvd's is component with progressive turned off. Try it, I understand that the deinterlacer in the viera works better than most in dvd players. Don't know about your Denon tho.

The Denons deinterlacer i a Faroudja chip, I think the dvds interlacer is better than the Vieras in this case?

    I got a question???

Im connecting my home entertainment system (all in one) up to 42" plasma
using component and scart. The dvd player doesn't support PAL
progressive, so it's turned off, shall i throw my component leads away or are they still
providing me with a better image than say RGB Scart?

Sorry for stealing thread and putting my problem on here

All things being equall, the componenet connection should still be better than rgb scart. The only way to tell , is try it on both and then pick the one you preffer. After all , your the one watching the thing :)
