I've been considering getting the cx 300's at £15, but I've heard mixed opnions, and was wondering if there was anything better I could get for £30?

    Hi,

I just commented on another thread, here i'll just copy and paste what i wrote:

I think the crossroad mylar x3s (or xbs) are a good bet. They cost $57 for the X3s and $65 for the XBs (w/free shipping from jaben.net). I purchased mine about 2-3weeks back and i'm very happy and think they're well worth the money.

    (Xb version means more bass)

I was using the standard ipod earphones and couldn't believe how long it took me to realise how bad they were. These earphones really excel for me with dance music. The boom in hard trance, or hearing the drums in drum n bass, really impressed me, and also hearing the low notes on music with piano

But don't take my word on it, read around you'll see a lot of people recommending this brand!

Do those things stay put OK? Just I've never had much luck with neckband phones.

I agree, the Shure E2Cs will annihilate the CX300 and for only £30. The E2C were my forst pair of Shure earphones and they were a revelation. I have now just bought a pair of Shure E420s for my new 160GB iPod Classic.
