Best in car DVD players?

I am considering buying two in car DVD players for my children for when we hit those long journeys. There don't seem to be that many around. Someone told me there are some blu-ray players coming out now, is that right? What are the best buys please?

consider if you want 1 dvd on both screens or individual dvd
Screen size 7" to ~ 10"
would a tablet/netbook be an option
