If you are not interested in TopupTV then I would personally get a Sony VTX-D800.

Sony have supported this box very well so far in my opinion. I cant fault the picture or the speed.

The box has RGB scart out, optical out and has a competant and quick 7 day EPG.

    Check out http://www.npe.sony.co.uk/index.html

That is a valid point Arcam, do you know what route you want to go down? Do you need a PVR or topuptv or both?

to be honest, recording hasnt really interested me, with having sky for so long everything is repeated every 2nd day anyway hehe.....still though, im not fussy about pvr. and topuptv, there's no channels worth watching on there just now (not sure if more will be added) but i think im after a bog standard freeview box... the sony's the best then ?
