Can anyone recommend a decent Freeview box, with a max budget of about £80? Just needs to be a standard Freeview receiver, I don't require one with a HDD etc as it's just for my parents and they wouldn't use it anyway.

I have a Sony VTX-D800U but these seem to have been discontinued, and packaged ones up for auction are going for a lot, so are there any other decent & reliable models about? My dad is extremely short-tempered and there will be little point getting one that will lock up or generally cause frustration as it will probably end up in the bin!

Obviously I'd rather pay less, so if there is one box for £50 that does virtually everything one does at £80, then that'd be great!

    Thanks for any help

    Try a Netgem / BT Iplayer+

I've had one for 3 years, and just replaced it with a Topfield (but I did that to gain recording functionality, it's been a very good box )

Also has Caller ID, Internet Access, TV Email, plus Optical Out.

Not sure where you can get them now, 247electrical, or BT shop, or Ebay.
