I love that film as well. I often watch Pitch Black and Chronicles in one go. I hope they make another even though Chronicles did quite bad at the cinema.

I watched Cars yesterday and liked it a lot. The sound during the racing scenes was fantastic.

I also enjoyed Fearless recently. I always like a Jet Li film.

Im sure my HD-DVD collection will increase next year (Got 4 titles now) and will be the format that next years best film purchase will be on.. Roll on 'Lord of the ring' on HD

Id have to say Hard Candy for me - very powerful performances from both the main cast members.

That's my best purchase also.

I never viewed the original release of 'Kingdom Of Heaven' I heard it was  but the 'Directors Cut' is great ..

hmm......probably Star Wars ORIGINAL edition :D

you have no idea (or you might) how happy i felt watching that....ok the picture quality wasnt as good as it could be, but tbh, i just didnt damn well care...it was so nice seeing it unaltered after all these years :)

other than a nearly 30 year old film finally being given some minor justice, hmmm....tbh i'm not sure.......bought a fair few films this year...lol....as i sit here (somewhat under the influence) i cant think of anything particular that stood out......if anything BSG and Lost stood out more for me than any films newly released.........in fact probably the only film that really made me enjoy myself again to the fullest was finally getting round to rewatching my Fight Club DVD again....pretty sure the last time i watched that i was using a 19in PC monitor (4:3) and Wharfedale Diamond 7.3's being fed by a stereo Aiwa amp and a 2.1 set of Altec Lansing speakers that were being used as rears....so a sort of 4 speaker surround with a rear sub?......loved it then.....then when rewatching it on my PJ and huge bum speaker system i use now i was absolutely in heaven....heh

Just got the Riddick films on HD-DVD so it obviously has re-invigorated my love of the film. Sounds like we have similar taste as I watched Fearless 2 weeks ago and thought it was excellent. Looking forward to HD version soon.

Oh and Kingdom of Heaven is also excellent, I am hoping it will be released in HD-DVD.

Probably not everyone's first choice, even of its own series, but "Sympathy for Lady Vengeance" is, for me, cinematically near perfect.

Acting, lighting, sound, and soundtrack come together to make a film watchable on so many different levels that I frequently do :D

Probably Romper Stomper for me.

What a cracking film & probably the best one I've seen all year, hadnt bothered to watch it before & got it cheap in a HMV sale so gave it a go as all my mates raved about it & I can see why one of my best films ever.

They are the same except The Matrix is cut on R2 but not on R4.
Yeah, you get the headbutts on R4.. I'd prefer that one, but I always buy R2 to sell more easily in the UK when I need to update my collection.. like get the HD version or something.
