As the title says, budget is around £300, but could be pushed a bit more. What would you recommend?

I have a denon 1930 as well and think its great, ive not compared it to anything other than my old tosh 125 which is a much cheaper player.
    the image quality is great.

I thought HD DVD players were a £1000 plus, does anyone know how the quality on this player would be?

    Cheers

Bear in mind here that the audio is likely to be the Pioneer underspeaker or 2.1 - the room won't support anything else. So the main thing to be considering is picture/output. Thanks

I think the company seems sound enough but no stock at present.

1 more vote for the Denon DVD-1930 (though only have an ancient Tosh to compare it to)

The Oppo 981 looks interesting - £189.00 including VAT and UK mainland delivery with 1080p upscaling.
