I was wondering which player has the best JPEG facility. I saw a thred saying that the Pioneer 550 was very slow and also rebooted during movie playback.

I think most of the Denon's are pretty good for jpeg playback, but maybe not worth the dosh if that is all you are looking for in terms of features...

JPEG's on my 3800 are very good...

How do you play jpegs on a DVD player? I've been helping a neighbour make VCDs of his holiday snaps and it's involved converting the jpegs into mpeg 'stills'.

~The player needs to support the JPEG format. Other possible formats supported by players are VCD, SVCD, MP3, DivX...and of course audio CD.

    Check www.dvdrhelp.com for technical specs.

The Limit 9900SE supports JPEG and Kodak Photo CD's as well. Just tick the box for a photo cd when you have your snaps developed and pop it in the player...Looks great on my projector.

I think this player is now only £149 and if you can use it comes with a bonus of PAL/NTSC progressive scan as well.

    Cheers,

    Jean-Paul
