    Hi there,

I plan to buy a AE700, perhaps when the AE900 gets released and hope to pick up a bargain!

But I want a new DVD player to pair with the projector for under £400.

I need all the usual refinements, good image / sound and must be multi-region.
I'm thinking something with HDMI + scaler so I can use 1:1 pixel with 720P...?

Doesn't the Denon 1920 player suffer with a deal of macroblocking when using 720P?

    Any others?

I've just hooked up an Oppo 971 to my AE700 via HDMI. The Oppo upscales to 720p/1080i and also handles DIVX. I'm very happy with the pairing. And you can get it for around £170  Do a search in this forum for the Oppo thread.

Another vote for the Oppo. If you want a nicer looking Oppo go for the Cambridge Audio DVD79 (same player but in a nicer case) - but make sure it's the latest firmware to minimise lip sync issues...PJ :)
