DVD Shrink will if you set it to 'no compression'. There are others too, but I can't think of their names.

    Downloaded the decryptor.

When decryping a dvd, it put all the files in 1 folder, there were quite a few. Is there anyway for it to recognise one file so i can add it to my library in mce2005?

I'm not sure as I don't have MCE 2005, but i tried adding a DVD to my Windows Media Player 10 Libary and it wouldn't work.

If you put all the files in a folder called VIDEO_TS and then put that folder in a folder named after the film then MCE will be able to recognise it and play it properly (ie play thr .ifo file to include all chpaters breaks etc).
Don't know about decryptor but DVD shrink automatically creates VIDEO_TS folders.

That worked by naming it and adding to my videos, very clever, is there anyway to add the picture and disc info?

If you want disc info & cover art etc download My Movies here.
It's a great program which even get's you trailer for your films, and it's free (well the donation is optional).

That is an excellent find mikefish. exactly the kind of program i needed. I plan on backing up all my favourite dvds and using the pc as a hub for all my dvd viewing. I think the thing media center lacks is library info/guides. really this is the crux of the program and i believe more should have been put into this. i believe bt want to make movies available on the next generation broadband using media center.
