I've just upgraded to a 6.1 system (from a 5.1). I've had a quick blast with the DTS ES soundtrack on The Fellowship of the Ring (will try the Two Towers and Return of the King later), any other films you'd suggest with 6.1 soundtrack?

    Cheers

There are similiar threads about this but the Lord Of The Rings trilogy are definitely the best examples. Each movie pushes the 6.1 sound further and further with some of the scenes in Return Of The King just awesome.

    Other recommendations include:

    Terminator 2 (Ultimate Edition)
Austin Powers Goldmember - subtle 6.1 effects but worthwhile
    Minority Report (R1)
    Top Gun (Collectors Edition)
Star Wars Episodes I, II, III - These are 5.1 EX but the rear centre is still evident
    Hero (R3)
    Gladiator (R1)
    Pirates Of The Caribbean
    Monster's Inc.
    The Mask (Special Edition)

These are discs I have and really enjoy listening to. Many normal 5.1 discs also sound good with 6.1 matrixed decoding.

"Punch drunk love" a strange film, about a strange guy. Some great stand out audio moments though. DD5.1EX

The one that shakes my setup the most is the R1 CE of Master And Commander. I think it's only 5.1 but it's still awesome! You can wake up the dead with this one!
