I thought Jarhead was quality. The scenes in the burning oil fields really showed the capabilities in blacks and the flaring of the oil.
Yeah I used VGA perfectly happily, though the dash didn't look quite right. When I got the HD-DVD drive it looked good, but nothing like the photos I'd seen. Now with component it's got that WOW factor, and even the stuff off marketplace looks noticably better.
Like I say, it depends on the screen though.
What screen are you using mate just out of curiosity.
I have to agree that batman begins in great in HD, as mentioned the dark scenes of which there are plenty really show in great detail, the ninjas outfits show great detail,as does batmans costume.
I also have constantine, serenity, riddick, troy, mi3, pitch black, king kong, superman returns, sleepy hollow, and a few more to arrive,
Samsung from October last year, so one of the ones from when everyone and their grandmothers were buying them for the 360. Perhaps the new ones are better with VGA?
Im using the same Samsung and Im using VGA.
lovefilm (previously screenselect) rent out HD DVD's. Do a search for HD and it brings up all thier HD-DVD's. 20 odd off them i think.
My World Trade Centre HD-DVD has been dispatched. With that being a new film I'm pretty sure the quality should be top Class.

Just had an e-mail back from love film saying at the moment they are not renting hd dvds.
B******s!!!!!!!!!
One thing though - anyone else noticed the audio is noticeably weaker since the last dash update? It now seems like dynamic range compression is enabled, with no option to disable it. Maybe the 360 video output couldn't handle both full-bandwith audio and video simulateously? Is it possible to rollback the update?
