I have done some comparison and found the following cameras are worthy to consider:

    Fuji A205s 2M + 3x optical £114
    Samsung Digimax 240 2M + 3x optical £118
    Canon A60 2M + 3xoptical £132
    Sony DSC-P52 3M + 2x optical £150
    Sony DSC-P72 3M + 3x optical £173
    Pentax Optio 33L 3M + 3x optical £177

I'm also tempted to Canon A70 and Kodak DX6440 but both of them are about £220 (above my budget).

Any views of which one to eliminate/serious consider? Also I realise the memory is cheaper for compactflast so Canon and Pentax will save some money when I buy memory later...

    Any opinion are welcome........:)

I was looking at a Canon A70 but now i'm thinking of the Pentax Optio 33L .The Pentax came 3 in the top ten in pc adviser, the canon came in at number 4.

Bob1, I found the cheapest price for A70 and 33L are with Pixmania and they are £214 and £178 respectively.

Just do a search using kelkoo. Bear in mind that pixmania charges £9 for delivery, but you can type in "camerabuyer09" in the discount code during checkout to get £10 off.

Well I am still undecided... as a70 is over my budget, but will read through the links and go to a shop to try it out.

    :)

I recently bought a Polaroid 3035, from Argos for £99.99.
3.2m I thought it would be simple to use and get me started. The pictures were good, but after a week everything went black.

I took it back to Argos and exchanged it for a new one.
This one couldn't focus at all. The images were either dark or smudgy.

I exchanged it again today and paid another £100. For a better model, and the results are outstanding. Really sharp and clear with excellent detail.
    I would definatley recommend it.
    It has 3.3m pixel
    2048x1536 resolution
    3x optical zoom
    2x digital zoom
    auto flash,red eye,
    sd compatible
    video
    auto or man exp
    16mb internal mem.
    macro lens.
    video out

    Polaroid PDC 3350 £199.99 cat no 560 0412.
All digi cameras are exempt from their 16 day moneyback guarantee though.

    Rich Tee.
