I'm looking for a good monitor [new or used] to replace my dual setup, a rather mediochre sized Dell 2009W and a Dell E178WFP. My current monitor [Dell E178WFP] tends to have a rather reddish hue despite numerous tweaks to the settings.

Ideally after another Dell , 19" to 22" doesn't have to be new, I would consider monitors 1 or 2 years old provided they have excellent colour reproduction and display quality.

I've seen opinions on the Dell SP2208WFP which seem good, any one?

Ideally you should be looking for at least a S-PVA monitor up to IPS. Lenovo L220X and HP LP2275w uses S-PVA, Lenovo has a higher resolution than HP.

If you can stretch to a 24" then pick the HP 2475W or NEC 2490WUXi or Hazro monitors, both contain a IPS panel. Dell may have a 22" IPS monitor soon called the 2209WA.

The Dell you suggested is a TN panel.
