Anyone else got a favourite deleted scene that did'nt make the movie?

Mine has to be the "extended pole dance scene" in XXX.

All I can say is giddy-up!

Mine is from ALIEN when Ripley finds Captian Dallas half cocooned to the wall of the Nostromo and begs Ripley to kill him.

    Very dark and scarey.

Its definitely on the ALIEN disk from the boxset but since all the content of the individual disks are the same (I believe) it should be on your disk also.

I agree about the alien deleted scene, wish it was added to the movie. The guy was the captain for f.cks sake surely adding this scene would emphasize the terror of the situation. If he met such a grisly end what hope have the rest...etc...

I wouldn’t say favourite scene but one that should have been in the film, was the same film, when Brett (Harry Dean Stanton) is taken by the alien up that chute.
When you watch the film after seeing that scene, they comment on it but it makes no sense (with the scene being removed).

Not exactly a deleted scene, more an alternative, in Back To The Future where Michael J Fox plays a latino "homie" watching his mum cheat on a test.

Had me and my friends in fits!

The deleted scenes are on the ALIEN DVD.

The Fifth disk contains additional material, almost all of which is about the first movie. It contains some excellent documentary footage/interviews etc from the time of the first movie. The extra disk is a must for any major fan of the original movie. Contains some great info, such as Scott talking about using children in spacesuits to make the sets look bigger and more imposing.

I can't believe some people actually complained about the scene:confused:

Re-animator, on the R1 mill ed there's a few deleted scenes...the one that cracked me up was the one where West shoots up his solution like a herion addict....if that had made it in it would have put a whole different spin on the film, i'm glad it was cut but it is great to see as a deleted scene

The extended scene in the potions class from Harry Potter 1. In fact nearly all the deleted scenes in Harry P were good.

Excellent scene, I associate it with the film more than some of the scenes that actually appeared in the film.

Also like the deleted scene from Jaws where Quint buys some piano wire and destracts the kid playing the recorder.

    Re: We Were Soldiers

I always tell anyone that I reccommend the movie to, that they should watch that scene first. I think it puts plumbley in a much better perspective. Without it he innitially comes over as slightly rude and arrogant. With it, you get a sense of fear/awe of him from the other sergents.

He has ALL the best lines in the movie.

    • "By the time I need a weapon they'll be plenty just lying around on the floor"
    • Now its a good morning, Sergent
    • "Any of you sons of bitches calls me GranPa, I'll shoot yah"

Fantastic Movie. Watched it twice the day it arrived

the looooong extra scene on the Jacobs Ladder DVD where he takes the 'antidote'

Whhoooeee - theres some freaky stuff going on there.

Actually, all three(?) Deleted scenes are damn good on that disc, yet you can still see why they were removed.
