Looking for a decent priced laptop.

Do any computer buffs know the best deal for £350 or under.

Obviously I do not expect a high spec one for this price, but currently using a quite old laptop and anything new will be better.

    Thanks.

Aldi Medians are good but your choices are limited at that price-point.

I have seen plenty of offers on laptops at £349 and under, from the likes of ebuyer, Dabs, Tesco, etc.

But the one thing that I don't want is Vista.

I am looking for an XP loaded laptop - surely a low powered laptop would run VERY slow with Vista loaded.

Anybody selling a decent one 2nd hand?

How about this Dell Vostro 1000 for £294 delivered from Dell (take warranty down to 1 year).

Microsoft say they allow retailers to sell PCs with any Windows OS they want but in reality the retailers say MS penalise them if they sell machines with anything other than Vista on by default. This means you're very unlikely to find a laptop with XP on unless you can find one that allows you to specify which OS you want.
Dell will allow you to choose.
