i could be puting this in the wrong place, if i am i'm sorry.

i buy r2 dvds but mostly r1 dvds, recently i have brought a jvc av-28t25ek and in a few weeks i will be getting a muli-region toshiba 220.

the tv and dvd player have: s-video-scart, one rgb scart, a straight s-video input.

i was going to connect them by the rgb scart but i have read on this forum that r1 dvds dont look as good througth rgb scart.

    so witch should i use.

I have never noticed a problem with R1 DVDs through RGB

Use RGB through SCART. R1 picture shouldn't look any different to R2 because they both use the same Mpeg2 compression.

I have this dvd player and yes RGB is very good but for best results with Toshiba dvd players use the S-Video connection the picture will be very very good and u won't regret it

the tosh 220 has component output which beats the pants off scart or svideo

i doubt the JVC has component inputs though so prob a non starter
