    :) Hi Guys
Love these forums. Thanks to razor and the rest of you good people who replied to my question on the Sagem and Samsung dilemma.

This is a totally different question on behalf of my friend. He has aquired the Sony KP 44 PX3U rear projection TV (about 4 years old). Also he has a DAV S 800 DVD player/surround sound 5.1. There are no scart connections to hook the player up to the TV.

Have you any idea how to connect them for the best quality.
    Many thanks

S-video would be your best option, assume it doesn't support Component connections.

A friend of mine has this set and I actually set it up for him. But this was over 2.5 years ago so I cant remember the connections.

If he has component output on his dvd player and tv tell him to use that.

If not use a component to scart connection.

    cable here

I own the previous model (KP 44 PS2) and can confirm that my set handles Svideo rather well. So use a good quality Svideo to Svideo lead. He would also need a lead to get the sound from the TV back to the DAVS so he can watch the TV with Prologic II via the DAVS. This probably only needs to be a phono to phono (if the Tv has audio outs via phono) if not you can set up one of the scarts to output what is being displayed on the TV (sound wise)
