Best Component Player

Prominent Member
My Pioneer 575a has been reliable until recently, but now is fussy about powering on, and will shut off when it feels like it.

I have a standard def plasma with no digital inputs, so I'm trying to get an idea on what the current best sub-£150 player is over component. HDMI/DVI would be nice (for future proofing), but I'm stuck with component at the moment as the primary connection.

The 575 was definately the dog's gonads when it came out, and it's still a highly regarded player. Is the anything comparible (or better!) available now, or do I head off to ebay and see if I can get another cheap 575.
