My Canon MV5 Camcorder needs a new IRIS assembly and cost of repair is £100 which I can't justify when buying a new compact camera that takes good video isn't much more.
Am a big fan of Panasonic and the TZ series so am thinking of the TZ20 as it has 1080p video capability. So my questions are:
- How much of a sacrifice would I be making in video quality from say buying a c. £150 dedicated camcorder?
- Does 1080p make a lot of difference in quality e.g. is the TZ20 much better than the TZ 10 for video?
- Any views on the TZ20 vs any other compact 1080p cameras?
Thanks,
Simon
