Hi, currently in the process of upgrading pc. Looking for a graphics card around the £250 mark. So far it looks like its between the GTX 660 ti or HD7950. From what ive read the 7950 comes out on top so is this the best i can get for £250?

    Thanks,

so... was about to order but had another quick look and now im struggling to pick between these cards -

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sapphire-11...aphics/dp/B0091MFBZC/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top
    http://www.amazon.co.uk/MSI-GeForce...1_4?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1361885981&sr=1-4
PNY GTX 670 GeForce Nvidia Graphics Card (2GB, PCI-E): Amazon.co.uk: Computers & Accessories

The 670 is slightly over budget but if its going to way outperform the others i dont mind paying it, but realistically if its not going to be that much of an improvement over the others i'll pick one thats in budget.

670 is a very good bet, but WAIT! At that pricepoint, grab a 7970 instead - you'll get more than 680 performance for the price of the 670!

hmmm id love the 7970 but thats slightly more than the 670 and im already pushing the budget with that. i could get a used 7970 but im not 100% happy buying used as theres no guarantee it will last and you dont know the history / if been OC'd etc so too risky for me.

I would go with the 7950..

And I bought my current and previous graphics card in used condition and didn't have any problems, depends if the receipt is provided for warranty purposes luckily I didn't have to go through any such process :p
