    Hi,

Argos are offering the Canon A80 for £199.95 with a free 128mb memory card! Looks like a bargain to me, can anyone find a better deal for this camera or has any suggestions on a better camera around the same price?

    Cheers,

    G

Don't forget the extra freebie 128mb CF card you can get from mumplusone with any Canon camera purchase. :)

£200 for a Canon A80 + 2 x 128mb cards seems a pretty good deal to me... although I did find an ex demo Olympus C-4000 with 12 months warranty for £175 from here. And don't forget the refurbished Casio QV-R40 from Dixons online (temp. out of stock) for £100.00 approx. ;)

The A80 is a great camera. I paid £280 for mine when they first came out.

Does this 430 deal include VAT ? The website is ominously vague and I don't fancy registering to find out. :thumbsdow

Are the cameras so-called "grey imports" ?

Having looked into 7dayshop a little more, it all looks a bit risky with possible taxs that can be added when it arrives from channel islands!

I bought a ixus 430 2 days ago from London Camera Exchange (branches all over the place). They said they'd match Jessops price match promise (bloke didn't like jessops!) so i got it for Amazon's £236.99 with free delivery price.

As long as you have a dated print out which shows that there is more than one in stock at a UK based internet site and allow for postage, its amazing how some shops will match it.

Be aware that not all Jessops like to price match. There are two in Bath, one told me where to stick it, the other was most helpful (but out of stock!)

    Hope this helps!
