HI. I'm a journalist from The Daily Telegraph in the UK and am writing a piece for the travel section of the paper on how to make 'arty' travel videos. I want to list six or seven websites that readers might find useful. They might give specific advice about filming holiday videos, offer tips on filming abroad, or suggest where good film destinations could be. Any ideas would be really appreciated. Thanks a lot. Suzy

I'm not sure if this site is really what you are after, but www.dvdoctor.net is run by (along with others) the editor of the 'late & great' Computer Video Editing mag. The forum covers just about all aspects of video from the camcorders to filming to editng on a PC/Mac. It is full of very useful information and is visited by many professional videotographers along side complete new comers after advice on their first camcorder etc.

    HTH,
    Mark.

It has some good info, but one or two personalities best avoided IMO.

PjPip: I'm intrigued - did you have a bad experience there? What happened?

I probably wouldn't go so far as to call it bad but I always felt a bit like I was stood outside of the club trying to convince them to let me in! There's some very knowledgable people on there. I still use it as a great resource for info and problems, I've just given up trying to become part of the forum.

Were you registered as "pip" on the forums? Feel bad that you didn't feel welcomed :-( Always good to hear feedback though, and my sincere apologies that you weren't given a big *hug* :)
