What is the best buy LCD projector under £2000? I like the AE300 but is there a better buy 16:9 from another maker? I am prone to the rainbow effect on DLP but is there a model that does not display it and for under £2K?

try the sharp z91 which is being discontinued and will come in less than 2k, i have just got a ae300 lcd projector and the sharp is better and i did not see rainbows (only had 1h viewing though).

I think the 6 colour wheels reduce the rainbow effect, also don't be put off by specs or that its not a true 16/9 projector.
imho- wide screen mode is just as good.

I too am looking for something around this amount.

Tempted by the Optoma H56 which projectorcentral.com rate almost the same as the NEC HT1000 - which everyone seems to love.

The Optoma can be got for around £2200 yet the NEC is around £3400.

    I haven`t experienced them myself.

I have a Sanyo Z1 and I am keen to step up a level.
