I am about to purchase a Pioneer 575A DVD player for my Denon 2805.
I understand i need to connect 6 analogue rca leads from the dvd to the amp to hear the SACD and DVD-A.
HOWEVER, would i send the DTS and 5.1 sound from normal DVDs through the analogue leads as suggested by the bloke in SevenOaks, Manchester?
Wouldn't my Denon 2805 amp have a better decoder in it for DVD movies? Shouldn't i stick to digital coax?

Plus (if you own a 575A) can you set it to remember that SACD is to play through the analogue and DVD movies through the digital out?

Cheers, any replies very much appreciated. :smashin:

AgeOwns you want to connect the 6 RCA connectors for SACD / DVD-A and for the DD / DTS you want to connect you're Digital lead and let the amp decode the Signal, there should be a Direct mode for the Analogue inputs availible on the amp and then you just switch between the 2.

Thought as much. Many thanks, I didn't 100% believe the guy at SevenOaks.

    Cheers :)
