i hav a 1,000 pounds to spend could u please help
Look at the new Denon AVR 3803 when it arrives soon or the Pioneer 2011 (I think the numbers right). Both are around the £1k mark.
forgot to say, i listern a lot to cd dvd-a sacd, so im looking for a allrounder. would the denon 3803 fit the bill
i,m down to these 2. i want an allround performance. music and film. help
have a listen to the Rotel RSX-1055 too. It costs £1200. I heard it today connected to some Linn Katans and it sounded great.
has anyone got either of these. amps
Worth also listening to the NAD T752 and T762. If you're going to be listening to a lot of CDs as well as DVD-A and SACD, these are both a little less than £1000 and would leave you some leaway to buy a CD player (if you don't already have one) rather than listening to CDs on your DVD player.
For allround performance (between the Denon and Yamaha) the Denon probably edges it (without listening) but also try some others (e.g. Marantz and Pioneer along with NAD and Rotel as already meantioned)
Surely the quality of these will depend more on the Player than the amp?
I have an AZ2 and am using a 656A for DVDV, DVDA and SACD all I can say is for the money it's great.
AZ2 has everything that I need, 6 inputs for DVDA/SACD, DD/DTS + EX/ES/Matrix, PL2, NEO6, the list goes on...
IMO the sound quality is excellent. Some people say the Denons are more "Musical". I haven't heard the 3803, but a friend has a 3802, personally I prefer my Yamaha.
