My answer based on plenty of previous home printing is save yourself some money and grief - use an online photo printing company.
By all means get a £60 odd epson R200 or canon equivalent for one offs and printing Cd's etc.

If you must have a high budget printer I'll leave the suggestions to others that know more about them.

I've got the ip5000 and it's superb, but only if you use the best paper.
I honestly can't see how the 8000 will be any better.
I you intend to print a lot of photos and have no other use for a printer, I'd stick with a 'high street' printers.

I've a Canon IP4000 which I'm very happy with, my girlfriend has an Epson R200 which she's very hapy with...

...I think you'll find it hard to go wrong with either brand :smashin:

    Regards,
    Iain.

Costly home printing on anything like the scale an online/store can manage. Work out the cost of 50 6x4's, your ink, and the quality of a £150 printer next to that of photoboxes ect means that home printing is best kept to one off as Robert said.
