This will be an upgrade from my LG 47LW650T.

I guess any modern 4k tv will be an improvement, but what should i keep an eye out for over the next week?

Surly panels have improved since 2011, so this would be a good deal?:
Its always surprising to hear but in some ways they havent. In lots of cases its two steps forward. One back.

As for which TV is best value? Its hard to know when one TV is going to be better value to one person compared to another..a lot depend on how you use the TV and what sources you will have.

Certainly the Hisense N6800 stands out value wise, but its not a good TV if you are expecting good viewing angles.

To be frank, don't go thinking by getting a new model that everything is going to be significantly better, it won't be unless you pair it with new content.

These new TVs don't polish older content, its more akin to watching the content through a window...you notice all the downsides to older material, especially with compressed, non HD sources.
