What is the best on worth buying? For viewing in front either the Panasonic JX800, Samsung AU series (VA models only, see here: Lost in confusion....) or a TCL.
The problem with cheaper TVs is that they don't represent good value for money. There's an argument just to buy as cheap as you can since what you buy is not going to be fantastic anyway.
Buying last year's Hisense U7Q if you can still find one should be quite a bit better, but still has very basic local dimming.
Whats the best TV here? The Hisense U7Q if you can still find one.
Is the hisense 7q better than this?Probably this one:
Amazon product ASIN B096KQHKC2
But spending this amount on a TV is not recommended. You won't be getting something very good at all, so expectations must be low and the TV must be used for SDR only, not HDR.
Is the u7buk hisense better than the b73000?Yes, Hisense U7Q has local dimming and higher peak brightness, so it's a better TV.
Hisense B7300 more similar to the AU8000 but its last years model.
Anything else worth considering here for 500-700 before I pull the trigger?Hisense U7Q still best.
No TV is broken. What would be the next step up from the q7?No, there's a distinct lack of good options at that price range. If you have a working TV, I'd save up and buy something better later.
Is the 65U8GQTUK worth it over the 7q? Is it much better? 550 for the 7q and 750 for the 8q.Probably this one:

Be careful with model numbers. Is the 65U8GQTUK worth it over the 7q? Is it much better? 550 for the 7q and 750 for the 8q.
Are the later models actually worse than the older models?Be careful with model numbers.
U8Q is a recommended model from last year. 2020-21 model.
U8G is not the same TV, and generally is unrecommend this year. 2021-22 model.
Same goes for the U7Q (2020-21) and U7G (2021-22).
If you're on a tight budget I suggest looking at last year's U8Q or U7Q (2020-21 models). Not this year's U7G or U8Q (2021-22 models).
Yes, for most people they are. They moved from VA type panels to IPS.Are the later models actually worse than the older models?
Does the 60hz screen make a huge difference?Yes, for most people they are. They moved from VA type panels to IPS.
Do you think its worth getting a used 65u8qftuk for £600 over a old 7q from costco?60hz usually means you get more motion blur but less stutter. There may be judder with some content. U7Q is probably sitll a better TV than the U8G overall unless you need wide viewing angles.
The IPS panel on the U8G really spoils it in Europe.
Provided it's in good condition and you're able to test the screen uniformity, yes.Do you think its worth getting a used 65u8qftuk for £600 over a old 7q from costco?
