ok i will be buying a 50 inch plasma veiwing at 10/12ft (60"will not fit) iam not interested in bluray or dvd but will be using sky+ and sky HD in the future .i have always purchased panasonic tv,s in the past but i was wondering what 50" plasma will be ok for me,i dont mind spending up to 1.5K but if i can get a good picture for less i would be more than happy as i have seen 50"ers for about £799
just a panel is not an option as i want sound for the kids to use it
    any pointers regards tony

in that pricerange you should look at the panasonic PZ range, its a highly recommended tv, or stretch your budget, and get a pioneer.

any decent 720/768 panel will suit your needs.

The fact you are so distant precludes the necessity for amazing reproduction.

Panasonic is my vote although the consensus is that Pios have the best SD.

Save a wodge, get the Panny.

Go crazy and embrace lunacy. Buy an LCD and some shades.:D
