    Hello all

i am new to the world of av and would like some advise on my first potential system. I know that i need to listen to the speakers before buying but would like to draw up a short list before going into a dealer. Having been to one dealer i was left feeling rather stupid for not knowing all the buzz words etc. Basically i owuld like some speakers that are good for 90% hc and 10% music and they need to be wife accepable. We have quite a modern room so they kind of need to look and sound the part. I think i owuld need to wall mount then as i have 3 sets of small fingers willing to put fingers where the shouldnt.

    Cheers

I'm sure you'll get loads of suggestions in the morning!

I'll kick of with Anthony Gallo - small high tech spheres that given a decent source and amplification produce excellent sound that appears far 'bigger' than the speakers should be able to produce.

For around £1.5K you can have:
1 x Due for the Centre channel
2 x A'Diva for Front Left and Right
    2 x Micro's for surround Left and Right 1 x TR1 sub.

    See http://www.anthonygallo.co.uk/productindex.html

    Best regards

    Joe

No other brand will produce high quality sound for movies as M&K and since you want your speakers to be used most of the time for this purpose, listen to the K5s.
Compare them to the MA Radius, MS Genie and JMLab Sib&Cub for reference.
    Good luck.

    Mornin' Xboxing,

I would look at the M&K, Cabasse, Anthony Gallo's, Kef and the Genies.

We demo the first four but I know that the Genies are good.

The M&K's are by far the best for Home Cinema but the Anthony Gallo and Cabasse have it on the looks with sound.

    regards

Another vote for the M&K K5 package. Absolutely superb.
