Hi, I have a 4K Vizio M50-C1. I am using the HDMI 2.0 port and its 4K upscaling is worse than the other ports (I need the bandwidth though).
I have PowerDVD 15 and I like its colors and image quality enhancements.
Does it upscale content to 4K and how should I set it up? What resolution should the desktop be in and does it matter?
I have heard about MadVR and MPC-HC combined. I have some concerns though-
I am afraid that the colors and quality will not be as good as PowerDVD with enhancements. I also want Dolby virtual speakers (or surround, not sure) option.
What will produce better results?
One more question:
I have a GTX 580. I have an HDMI cable with a mini HDMI adapter. I understand it will support only 4K 30Hz. Will I get 4K 60Hz through a GTX 970/980TI with the mini HDMI port?
And will MadVR/another upscaling program produce different results depending on the GPU?
I have aan option to connect my HDMI cable straight to the Intel HD graphics 4000. How will it operate then regarding upscaling performance and bandwidth?
Please let me know ASAP since I want to set up my TV real soon.
Many thanks
