This PV500/435XDE/7200 debate is really tormenting me.

What, in your opinion, is my best option for a 42"er, with media box, that has good freeview performance (either with a built in freeview tuner, or a seperate "set-top box")?

    Budget £2500.

I know most will say it's the Pio, but I just thought I'd ask.

    Thanks in advance.

I think most people will agree, if Freeview is important to you the Pioneer is the last screen to go for.

I haven't seen the 7200 set up properly, but I thought the PV500 looked alot better in the shop when they were almost next to each other, but I have had Panasonics and have got used to their look.

i'm really keen on a seperate media box like with the pio, as it's easier to wall mount. i'm not bothered about a built-in freeview tuner, but i do want good freeview pq. so are there any others beyond the pio that have the media box and show good freeview, with or without the built in digital tuner?

Why don't you buy a Panel and a scaler, that is how I have always had mine, just one cable to the screen and a decent image, the tuner boxes are what cause the problems.

Any tips on a good panel and scaler in my price range (£2500) then? Ideally the scaler would have the standard anaolgue ins/outs, plus digital options.
