    Hi

Further to my previous thread, about the Hyundai panel buzzing, if I should be successful in getting a refund, what are the recommendations for a set under £1,100

Preferably in Silver, with stand and speakers ?

MAW was doing a Panasonic PW7 with input boards and stand for £1150 in the offers in the top of the thread.

A good 42" plasma with stand and speakers for under £1100 is pretty hard to come by. Get the offer mentioned above and buy yourself a cheap all in one dvd system to go with it.

Not bad .. but no speakers or stand. I also have a DVD recorder.

How about the Hitachi Sky PDP4202 ??

Without sounding rude, you have already bought one panel that you want to return, why not just go with everyones advice and get a Panny PW7 and spend a little more, trying to save a couple of hundred quid can be the difference between getting a good plasma and a bag on nuts.

The offer for the pw7 at £1150 with dual input board and stand combined with a cheap panasonic, pioneer or similar all in one system would be an excellent solution.
Or is it really a case of £1100 is absoloute tops?

The PW7 is ok, but I was looking for speakers included.

Am I being too fussy?? :(

Depends, not really mate, we all want different things, for about £1300 you could get the panny and an all in one system for the sound, this would give you a stunning picture and better sound than any built in speakers.

But for an easy life alot of people will sacrifice picture/sound quailty just for the convenience of having it all in one package.

Just the PW7 is one of the best screens available at any price, now it is so cheap it seems madness not to consider it.

Yeah, I know where your coming from

But the Hitachi Sky @ £1,200 all in (speakers, stand,HD) seems good seeing as it is just a rebadged Hitachi PD5200 (which are expensive)
